The Fearless (靈異街11號) Overall Preview

A new drama on the town! I’m trying to stay away from romcoms at the moment since watching too many of them gets old quick, so when I saw this preview I figured The Fearless (靈異街11號) would be a perfect watch. It’s dark and also features my fave Lego Lee (李國毅) as the main lead, a man named Gao Zhi Hai, or Ah Hai for short. He dies after an entanglement with the mafia and is revived, returning with the ability to see ghosts. His father’s death prior to his own leads him to take over the funeral home that his father owned, and by doing so, he takes on cases from the dead to help them discover how they died. Also in the cast is Jian Man Shu (簡嫚書) as Sheng Yin, a doctor who doesn’t believe in the supernatural, Da Wen (大文) as Xia Duo Duo, Ah Hai’s assistant that is morbidly interested in the supernatural and wants to see ghosts, and Xi Xiang (喜翔) as Zhong Wu Ming, a detective that has worked with Ah Hai’s father. For the first two episodes, they are joined by Diane Lin (林意箴) as Liao Yi Xin, a woman who was labeled as having committed suicide.

Ahh, behind the scenes always being a treasure to change the mood after a bit of a hefty episode (or just because the drama is hefty on its own). Honestly, episode 8 was a little slow for me with there not being much activity beside Zhou Wei Wei confronting Li Yi Hao. I do suspect it is a set up episode and a lot of details will come back for the next episode. There is only three more episodes before it is all over, and I am cherishing every little bit. Also, Jasper Liu loving Pa Yu’s performance is me and so cute.

Before We Get Married Episode 7 Behind the Scenes (BTS)

Only two scenes this time for the episode 7 behind the scenes for Before We Get Married. The two scenes are such polar opposite for our star Jasper Liu, one where he gets slapped and the other where he gets to lay around drunk. Enjoy their fun and games as they act through these tense scenes!

Before We Get Married Episode 6 Behind the Scenes (BTS)

Ahh, this edition of the behind the scenes seems to be surrounded around the painful circumstances of the characters and, by proxy, the actors. Mind you, it’s mostly Puff Guo getting hurt or just overall being in terrible scenarios. As her character says, she’s having a bad day. More like a bad episode. We also get some light on the whole slapping scene, and I love seeing the comaraderie between Yuan Ai Fei and Nita Lei, whose characters hate each other and are in conflict. Enjoy!

Before We Get Married Episode 8 Previews (Part 2)

Two more previews came out yesterday (oops totally wasn’t paying attention). With the episode coming out tomorrow, there’s some intrigue added into the previews we’ve already seen this week, including the fact that Li Hao Yi (Steven Sun) hasn’t learned anything. Sigh. And, Chu Ke Huan (Jasper Liu) is restraining himself (ish) while Zhou Wei Wei (Puff Guo) is making every move vocalize her frustrations with Li Hao Yi but still accepting that she’s getting married. Hm. I spy a contradiction.

Before We Get Married Episode 5 Behind The Scenes (BTS)

Ah, it’s nice to see the cast having so much fun in scenes that were much more tense as Chu Ke Huan holds on tight to chasing Zhou Wei Wei while also reaching out to her to destress. We also get to see some tidbits from Daniel Chen and Yuan Ai Fei. Although their relationship has been somewhat muted due to the drama going down between their friends, they play quite a key role as those supportive individuals around people in times of need. Heck, even Yuan Ai Fei didn’t want to disrupt Chu Ke Huan and drunken Zhou Wei Wei, but sorry, that’s not how the story goes.

Before We Get Married Episode 8 Preview

Ah, episode 7 was a whirl with Zhou Wei Wei finally being forced to confront her relationship with Chu Ke Huan and trying to end it while also standing up to Li Hao Yi about what she wants from their relationship. She really had the guts to threaten Li Hao Yi into facing the fact that she will no longer just silently follow along on his plan (I suppose, she woke up?), but I think we all know that a marriage built around an ultimatum can never be good. Meanwhile, Chu Ke Huan is struggling and still chasing after Zhou Wei Wei. The episode 8 preview further shows how small the world is with Gao Zi Yuan becoming Zhou Wei Wei’s bridal consultant when she is hunting for dresses, which can’t go down well given the messy love triangle. Can’t wait to see how it plays out, especially with Han Ke Fei there!

Before We Get Married Episode 4 Behind The Scenes (BTS)

Reality is setting in for the main leads, and the trap is closing in! We get three major scenes in this edition of behind the scenes at Before We Get Married, with the biggest part being the key scene in Chu Ke Huan’s old apartment (or Li Hao Yi’s and Zhou Wei Wei’s new apartment, though technically it’s under Li Hao Yi’s name). It’s a big kiss AND a proposal. Also, can I just say I love Han Ke Fei to death?

Before We Get Married Episode 2 Behind The Scenes (BTS)

What a thrill ride! Not saying that the drama isn’t flawed, but it definitely turns up the heat while also showing different sides of the characters through their interactions with different individuals. Through the behind the scenes segments on the episodes, you can see the actors working (with some joking) with the director, and I love seeing the director taking a step in to explain scenes or feelings along the way. Enjoy the second episode!
