Ah! More BTS, the poor cast though. The whole photo collection of them sleeping, all in different positions, just saddens me. Get some rest! It’s already 63 episodes in, and I expect it’ll end soon. Generally, dailys last between 60-80 episodes depending on popularity, but considering there has been little news for the following drama (usually appears two weeks or so before end of previous), it can probably be safely said that we have more than two more weeks left. There have been rumors going around that filming for the following drama will begin in April with Nylon Chen (陳乃榮) as part of the cast, but it has not been official reported. We’ll just have to wait and see while enjoying the end of Dear Mom. Continue reading

Dear Mom Yi Fei Wedding Dress BTS
Apologies. I’ve only blogged about Dear Mom, but I do have other posts planned out for other dramas I’m watching at the moment, such as The Life of Pearl. Anyhow, Yi Wan and Xiao Fei are getting married, for real this time (no more fantasy wedding segments, although I do want to point out the nice allusion they made to it in this scene; they both realize they had dreams about marrying the other)! The poor cast has been working late. Recently Yang Wei Ming posted some photos on Facebook of one tired actor, Xiu Jie Kai, sleeping in his seat at the wedding ceremony. Hope they can catch some rest soon! Continue reading
New Dear Mom Yi Fei NG BTS
Well, here’s a surprise for all of us! I actually forgot that the first video was labeled part 1, but part 2 was posted yesterday on the official Facebook page. We, of course, get to see Yi Fei but with their NG cuts of the picture taking with Mommy and the “first kiss.” Enjoy!
Yi Fei – Special NG BTS Part 2
Dear Mom Lovely Behind the Scenes
Happy Lunar New Year to you all! Since everyone’s taking a break for the holidays, so is the cast, who have worked hard the last few days to get in some extra work. I, on the other hand, am buried deep in schoolwork. I’ve fallen behind a bit, but I’ll catch up when I can during the next few days as Dear Mom did not air Wednesday. That means we only get four episode this week, which means a slight reduction to our beautiful couples. However, recently they have released a number of BTS clips (mostly Yi Fei), which are absolutely delightful. Continue reading
Dear Mom Episodes 35-39 Thoughts
I have to say that this week, there was a much better balance of the different stories, especially towards the end of the week. Everything’s starting to happen all at once and, boy, will this be an adventure. It’s quite a twist from the last thirty or so episodes that were focused on Yi Fei, so at first I wasn’t used to it, but it’s becoming more interesting, and I can’t wait to see how this all goes. Continue reading
Dear Mom Social Media
As an avid drama follower, it’s often hard to keep up with the numerous dramas all running at the same time. So, I’ve decided to make a list of social media accounts for both the actors and the drama just for those who would like to keep up with them and news! If you would like me to add anyone else to the list, please comment below! Continue reading
Dear Mom Episodes 1-34 Thoughts
When Dear Mom (我的寶貝四千金) first came out, I didn’t have much time to begin watch because I was busy with college apps, so I pushed it back until the beginning of 2015 in hopes of catching up with the daily airing schedule. It’s daunting for so many. After all, it airs five days a week and 60-80 episodes total.
The drama itself has a promising cast with the four sisters of the Li family: An Qing (Jennifer Hong 洪小铃), Li Yi Wan (Joanne Tseng 曾之乔), Qing Qing (Albee Huang 小薰), and Xiao Xi (Beatrice Fang 方志友). Then there’s the guys playing across from them: Chen Qi Le (Xiu Jie Kai 修杰楷), Du Xiao Fei (Melvin Sia 謝佳見), Xu Ji Kuan (Duncan 黎登勤), and Zhao Yu Hang (Jack Lee 李運慶). I’ve seen all of these actors/actresses before in previous dramas (with the exceptions of Melvin Sia and Duncan), and I personally like their acting. It’s rare to see a drama based on four different pairings and large family that has a number of different circumstances. Continue reading
